Arvo Law’s Renters Rights Act Information Sheet Cover Letter may be used by landlord's when providing the Information Sheet to existing tenants who have a written tenancy agreement prior to 1 May 2026.

• This letter template is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice.

• If you have a tenancy based entirely on a verbal agreement, that was made before 1 May 2026, then you cannot use the Information Sheet meet your obligations. 

• If you are uncertain about your obligations under the Renters' Rights Act 2025, please contact us for advice.

• Please download the official Information Sheet from: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-renters-rights-act-information-sheet-2026.

• A copy must be given to every tenant named on the tenancy agreement.

• You must provide the Information Sheet to your tenants by either:

  (a) printing a hard copy, which is posted or given to the tenants by hand; or

  (b) sending the PDF electronically as an attachment
